In order to develop a fully customized tinting system there are some procedure to follow.
Our specialized laboratory will assist the customer through all the phases involved in the
study and development of its tailored system:
- Analysis of the customer needs: during this step our technicians discuss with the
customer some topics regarding:
- Type of paint and coating (kind of binder, type of application, number of basis, etc.);
- Kind of application (product applied only inside, only outside, both);
- Quantity of binder and type of wetting and dispersing agents;
- Type of packaging per each base and density of the paint;
- Information regarding tinting machines (type of once, level of precision, auto or manual, etc.).
- Choice of the proper tinting system: during this phase our technicians in agreement with the customer
select the most suitable set of pigment pastes. This selection is made according with:
- Type of binder used on the paint (only water, or also some solvent products);
- Type of products (acrylic, silicates or lime based products, etc.);
- Type of application (interior, exterior, fa‡ade, etc.)
- Type of final shade the customer wants to achieve (NCS, RAL, GMCS card, Symphony, etc.);
- Number of canisters available of the tinting machine.
Obviously all these information allow Eurocolori and the customer to effect a combined analysis finalized
to obtain the best compromise as far as light and weathering resistance, price and colour precision.
- Development of colour formulations: in this step Eurocolori Lab will effect the full characterization
of the customer products: it will analyze all coloristics properties of each base paint and it will develop all formulas
keeping attention to light and weathering resistance of the shade, cost efficiency, filling level, etc.
- Once we obtained all colour formulas we load the data base into a dedicated software: GMCSoft.
With this tool the customer will have the possibility to view formulas, create new colours if connected
with a spectrophotometer, operate an automatic dispenser, etc.
